Busia lit up with cultural pride this weekend, with the maiden edition of Mr. and Miss Culture held on 14th June, at the Breez Hotel.
Organized by The Fall Season, the event featured vibrant cultural regalia designs and showstopping catwalks as Models celebrated identity, talent, and the rich cultural heritage at the heart of Western Kenya.
“This event was a celebration of culture and identity, a bold fusion of tradition and modern expression,” says Johnmark Oungo, CEO of the Fall Season.
Being the first one of its kind in Busia County, and employing an online ticketing platform different from traditional methods, Mr. Oungo admits that it was a dive into the deep.
“An individual will always be skeptical to venture out to the uncharted, but what is the beauty of entrepreneurship if not taking risks?” He poses.
